LOVE.exe 1.0 is a cyberpunk speed-dating game. It blends the aspects of mini-game collections and dating sim visual novels to create a fast-paced dating environment.In LOVE.EXE 1.0, my roles included being the vision holder for this project as well as the Lead Artist and only 2D Illustrator/concept artist during this 5 month project

Embark on a hauntingly beautiful journey in Interweaver, a whimsical puzzle platformer. Play as the Weaver, a necromancy student on a quest to rescue familiars from the clutches of Sepultus Academia. Unravel mysteries and use magic to weave your way through captivating landscapes.I played the role as Lead Artist in the duration of this year-long project. I managed a team of 5 different members and was the sole 2D Illustrator, UI artist, and Concept artist.

Love To Death was an unfinished 3 month deadline horror game project by 5 members in total.I was the Lead Artist and co-creative directors within this project. I was in charge of illustrations, all characters, majority of concept art, and all UI displayed.

Welcome to Earth! In this 3D platformer game, you navigate an alien visiting Planet Earth through the sights the planet has to offer. The little alien brought along his camera to take some photos while he's here!I was the Lead Artist in this 5 month long project and created a majority of UI, concept art, and illustrations

Love to Death

All of the concept art seen was created in about 2 months. I had a lot of creative freedom with making these characters, I designed majority of the outfits while all of the character's overall physiques and appearances were made by me.I wanted each love interest, as well as random npcs you may come across to feel unique in their own way, I wanted their personalities to really shine through their outfits.Each character sheet took around 5 to 9 hours to make and made in Procreate


LOVE.exe

Love.exe was a student-made 5-month project in my university, I was the sole 2D artist and vision holder for this project. I really wanted to make a game that had a very distinct color palette, each character loosely is tied to their designated color palette and I also researched cool, different fashion styles to mismatch their personalities. I wanted each character to feel completely different, I was the sole concept artist for their respective outfits and looks.Each character and their outfits took roughly around 4 to 6 hours to create. I also wanted to branch out my artstyle and attempt pixel art for the first official time. All 2D art was made in Procreate.

Forklift Fury

Forklift Fury is a game currently in development with a team of 4 people. I oversee and create 2D illustrations, character designs, concept art, and UI design. For each forklift model, I wanted a distinct character to go with each, their emotions would pop up on screen as you reign victorious or lose within the game as a fun element. Each character design goes with a specific design of forklift I have also designed and is currently in development.

Interweaver

I was in charge of all of the concept art for Interweaver, a student made project in my university spanning about a full year for my capstone class. I worked alongside the Creative Director and vision holder to create an overall mood for our game. I wanted our game to be sort of whimsical and spooky, for the characters to feel distinctly haunting compared to the pretty landscapes you uncover while playing the game.I had a lot of fun designing the different bosses and spiritual familiars you may uncover, the familiars all having a more cute or whimsical look while the bosses were a lot more intimidating and horrifying to look at.


Rite of Passage

Rite of Passage was the first official full game I worked on at my University. Although I've done concept art before for fun, this was my first time really making concept art for a full project and team. Rite of Passage spanned about 4/5 months to create. I was the Lead artist, but not sole 2D nor 3D Artist for this project. I played around with a bunch of different styles we wanted our protagonist to look like, all very cute to go with our cute lowpoly style of game.

Hi! My name is Samantha Cuevas and I am a 2D artist specializing in Character art and Concept art. I have over 10 years of traditionally taught experience in art and 4 years experience in 3D art. I am and have always been extremely passionate in my art and always thriving to improve and advance my work.
